Come Life, Chaos Rules

I used to have as home a star
With gates of steel and ice,
And no one ever knew so far
My life had thrown its dice.

I used to sing an endless song
About a lonely oak,
But life came out on me so strong
That I turned all in smoke.

Come life, the feelings I had crushed,
And then all turned to dust.
The brains inside my head were smashed
Of sin, desire, lust.

There’s no more midnight before dawn,
No daylight before dusk;
There’s no more lightning on my crown,
None of my cells to trust.
